SSN is an assocation of professional neuroscientists, and so your membership requires approval of the SSN Council. This approval will be based on the material that you supply in the application form. So please do complete the application form as accurately and fully as possible. Please include the names of two colleagues or collaborators you regulalry work with in the appropropriate fied in the form below (Referrant 1 and 2).
The membership runs from October 1st to September 30th of the following year. Membership benefits are available until 6 months after expiration of the membership. Note that the Student Membership rate requires that you be registered at a university or similar.
When you submit the application, you will be offered an invoice for the payment of your annual membership fee. Click on the invoice to pay by credit card at a secure STRIPE site. No other forms of payment are accepted.
New membership: If this is your first time applying for membership, then your application will be sent automatically to the Council for approval. As soon as the application is approved (this may take some days) you will receive an email allowing you to register your username and password at the SSN site. If your application is declined, your payment will be refunded to your credit card account.
Lapsed membership: If you are applying to re-activate a lapsed membership, then this application is pre-approved. Membership renewal will be completed with the credit card payment in STRIPE.
By registering with SSN, you also give your explicit consent to have your membership data information maintained by SSN and shared with the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS). This consent is required to ensure that SSN and FENS conform to the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
