The SSN endorses the manifesto of "Forschung für Leben"
Animal experimentation in Switzerland is under increased scrutiny. Established national newspapers report on animal experimentation labs in terms that are not only favorable. In the near future (6-12 months) there will be a national votation on banning animal experimentation altogether.
The Swiss Society for Neuroscience endorses the organization “Forschung für Leben” (Research for Life) and its actions to explain the need of research and to study the settings in which the tradeoff between animal suffering and benefits for humankind is carefully considered.
