EBRAINS – Digital Research Infrastructure for Neuroscience
According to presentation by Prof. P. Magistretti at the 2022 Annual Meeeting
- BRAINS is a new digital research infrastructure that gathers an extensive range of data and tools and promotes synergies for brain related research.
- It is a distributed across Europe and has been admitted to the ESFRI roadmap in 2021
- It was created by the EU-funded Human Brain Project and will capitalize on work performed there, but it is NOT an HBP 2.0
EBRAINS has now been accepted onto the ESFRI Roadmap 2021 as one of Europe's top science facilities
ESFRI’s mission is to develop the scientific integration of Europe, to strengthen its international outreach, and to provide Europe with the most up-to-date Research Infrastructures, responding to the rapidly evolving Science frontiers, also advancing the knowledge-based technologies and their extended use.
