As a Senior R&D Technician Neurobiology, you will identify & develop in vitro cellular assays and support the organization and management of the preclinical platform and labs to support business, projects, and concept development for neurobiology.
This is a position for a senior technician with several years of work experience in preclinical neuroscience lab(s) and ideally in the field of nutrition, botanical or drug research in industry settings. The candidate is expected to have a strong background in in vitro cellular assay development (including primary culture and iPSCs) and in multiple basic lab techniques (e.g., WB, PCR, ICC, HCI, microscopy, cell culture, calcium imaging) and can execute from planning to analysis and report.
A Day in the Life of a Senior R&D Technician Neurobiology
- Work with scientists and other technicians to identify and develop in vitro cellular assays aligned with Brain Health Department strategy
- Proactively seek scientific and technical solutions needed for preclinical assays
- Actively participate and present experimental plans and results in group, lab, and department meetings
- Organize and manage labs and lab activities to support the Brain Health department preclinical platform
- Promote good communication within the team to promote teamwork and collaborations

What will make you successful
You have worked in nutrition, botanical or drug research for neuroscience in industry settings (ideally neurodevelopment)
Strong background in in vitro cellular assay development (including primary culture and iPSCs) and in multiple basic lab techniques (e.g., WB, PCR, ICC, cell culture) as well as equipments (e.g., Flexstation, HCI, Seahorse, MEA)
Broad experience in assay development procedure from planning to results
Agile and willing to learn new concepts and techniques
Reported and presented scientific findings to internal teams
Experience with scientific writing and industry research is a plus
Neurodevelopment knowledge or experience would be advantageous.
A strong sense of team work and good interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and can work autonomously with minimal supervision
Fluent in English; French is a plus
