SSN Annual Meeting 2010

It was a Joint Meeting with the Swiss Society of Sleep Research, Sleep Medicine and Chronobiology (SGSSC). This was the 3^rd joint meeting with the SGSSC after 2000 and 2002. The local organizing committee has presented an exciting scientific program that supported interactions between fundamental, systems, cognitive, and clinical disciplines. The meeting started Friday, March 12th at noon with workshops organized by the SGSSC. Saturday morning started with a plenary lecture by Prof. Chiara Cirelli (University of Madison, Wisconsin, USA). This was followed by a Datablitz session with 6 chosen presentation aimed at giving younger scientists a forum to present their work to a public audience in a short format.. Then, the Schellenberg Award Ceremony of the Interantional Foundation of Research in Paraplegia and the SSN Best Publication Award Ceremony was taken place. During Lunch, there was the time for the 212 Poster presentations. Thererafter, the General Assembly of the SSN took place. In the afternon several parallel Symposia on topics coving fundamental, systems, cognitive, and clinical neuroscience was hold. The meeting was closed by the Bing Award Ceremony presented by the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences and the Volker Henn Award for the 3 best posters.
