IBRO World Congress of Neuroscience
In collaboration with societies of neuroscience throughout the world, The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) promotes international congresses and regional meetings on a recurring basis. Their overall aim is to promote neuroscience, increase communication and facilitate collaboration between investigators throughout the world. Since 1982 IBRO organizes every 4 years a World Congress.
IBRO World Congress

A key objective of IBRO-sponsored congresses is to advance neuroscience in regions that need assistance. This can be achieved by holding regional congresses and meetings and by facilitating the participation of scientists from less well-funded regions at congresses and meetings held in parts of the world with greater scientific strength and resources. To further facilitate this role, the congress/meeting venues should alternate from region to region.

The next IBRO World Congress will be in Florence, Italy, July 14 - 19, 2011.
