SSN Awards and fellowships
With the SSN awards and fellowships we want to promote young neuroscientists. SSN Best Publication Awards and Volker Henn Best Poster Awards are given in recognition of outstanding achievements. SSN travel fellowships are to encourage the participation in major international meetings.
Best Publication Award
The Best Publication Award is presented during the annual meeting to a student member, who is first author of the publication that appeared in a peer-reviewed journal during the preceeding year.
Travel Fellowships
Travel fellowships are given on a competitive basis to attend major neuroscience meetings (mainly the FENS Forum of European Neuroscience and the Meeting of the American Society for Neuroscience).
SSN-IBRO fellowship for Young Investigators
The SSN-IBRO fellowship is awarded yearly on a competitive basis, and supports a foreign post-doctoral fellow for one year to perform basic or clinical research in a Swiss academic institution.
Volker-Henn Best Poster Award
The Volker-Henn Best Poster Award distinguishes the three best posters presented during the Annual meeting.
Best Clinical Presentation Award
The Best Clinical Presentation Award distinguishes the best clinical study presented during the annual meeting. The Award is given to the authors of the best of three pre-selected oral communications given during the meeting.
